Derek Sholl on Deep Rock Drive

Derek Sholl performed a rocking 16 song set Saturday night on the live interactive concert stream site Deep Rock Drive. The one hour concert was a completely interactive experience where fans were in complete control; from choosing the camera angle they wanted to view the concert from, to the play list song order, it was all up to the fans. Sholl and his five piece band ripped through upbeat tunes such as “It’s My Life,” “She’s Bad” and “Don’t Threaten Me With a Good Time” and closed the show with a few ballads: “When It’s Yours” and “Pray for Me.” Deep Rock Drive hosts various weekly concerts, and their specialty is interactivity; fans are able to send messages that everyone viewing the show, as well as the artist performing can see in real time. Sholl did a great job of keeping the fans involved by reading some of the comments between songs. Deep Rock Drive plans to archive their set lists and concerts in mid 2008, so fans can watch the concerts again. Sholl will close out 2007 with a string of consecutive dates at the Monte Carlo Brew Pub in Las Vegas, and a pre-Christmas show at Bootleggers in Tyler, TX on December 22.
