From “Texas Music News”
Fans of Jason Boland won’t have to wait too much longer to catch their honky-tonk hero in action again. The Texas country circuit mainstay has been sidelined since early July after being diagnosed with a blood-filled polyp on his vocal chord, a setback that unfortunately coincided with the release of his most recent album. On the upside, the medical treatments were a success and Boland’s voice has made a full recovery. The tour will kick off in Oklahoma in late November, with shows at Gruene Hall and Billy Bob’s booked shortly thereafter. Boland may be returning to larger audiences than ever; the title track from Comal County Blue hit No. 1 on the Texas Music Chart during his convalescence, and his new single (fittingly titled “The Party’s Not Over”) features a duet with Boland’s friend and influence Robert Earl Keen.
