Lyrics: Rodney Carrington – Show Them To Me

Just a funny song I thought I would throw in. You can find this one on the soundtrack for “Beer For My Horses”

Oh it seems to me this whole world’s gone crazy
There’s too much hate and killin’ goin on
But when I see the bare chest of a woman
My worry’s and my problems are all gone
No one thinks of fightin’, when they see a topless girl
Baby if you would show yours too, we could save the world

Show them to me, show them to me
Unclasp your bra and set those puppies free
They’d look a whole lot better without that sweater baby I’m sure you’ll agree
If you got, two fun bags,
Show them to me

I don’t care if they don’t match or ones bigger than the other
You could show me one, and I’ll imagine the other
Even if you’re really old, there’s nothing wrong
Don’t be sad your boobs ain’t bad, they’re just a little long

Show them to me, show them to me
Lift up your shirt and let the whole world see
Just disrobe, show your globes and a happy man I’ll be
If you got, dos chichi’s,
Show them to me

I’ve met a lot of them, but never one I’ve hated
Even if you’ve had thirteen kids and you think they look deflated
There’s no such thing as a bad breast, I believe this much is true
If you’re a big fat man I’m a titty fan and I’d love to see yours toooo

Show them to me, show them to me
Just like the girls gone wild on T.V.
Just lean back and show your rack and I’ll be in ecstasy
If you got two casabas
Show them to me

All the world will live in harmony
It’ll do you good, it’ll give me wood, we’ll make history
If you love your country, I’m gonna say it one more time,
I said if you love your country yea
Then stand your ass up and show them big old titties to me

Lyrics: Zac Brown Band – Chicken Fried

Visit Zac Brown Band at MySpace & FaceBook

You know I like my chicken fried
Cold beer on a Friday night
A pair of jeans that fit just right
And the radio up

Well I was raised up beneath the shade of a Georgia pine
And that’s home you know
Sweet tea pecan pie and homemade wine
Where the peaches grow
And my house it’s not much to talk about
But it’s filled with love that’s grown in southern ground
And a little bit of chicken fried

Cold beer on a Friday night
A pair of jeans that fit just right
And the radio up
Well I like to see the sunrise
See the love in my woman’s eyes
Feel the touch of a precious child
And know a mother’s love

Well its funny how it’s the little things in life that mean the most
Not where you live or the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes
There’s no dollar sign on a piece of mind this I’ve come to know
So if you agree have a drink with me
Raise you glasses for a toast
To a little bit of chicken fried

Cold beer on a Friday night
A pair of jeans that fit just right
And the radio up
I like to see the sunrise
See the love in my woman’s eyes
Feel the touch of a precious child
And know a mother’s love

I thank god for my life
And for the stars and stripes
May freedom forever fly, let it ring.
Salute the ones who died
The ones that give their lives so we don’t have to sacrifice
All the things we love
Like our chicken fried

And cold beer on a Friday night
A pair of jeans that fit just right
And the radio up
I like to see the sunrise
See the love in my woman’s eyes
Feel the touch of a precious child
And know a mother’s love

Get ya a little chicken fried
And cold beer on a Friday night
A pair of jeans that fit just right
And the radio up
I like to see the sunrise
See the love in my woman’s eyes
Feel the touch of a precious child
And know a mother’s love

Lyrics: Zac Brown Band – Whatever It Is

Visit Zac Brown Band at MySpace & FaceBook

Whatever It Is

She’s got eyes that cut you like a knife
And her lips that taste like sweet red wine
And her pretty legs go to heaven every time
She got a gentle way that puts me at ease
When she walks in the room I can hardly breathe
Got a devasating smile-
Knock a grown man to his knees

She got whatever it is
That blows me away
She’s everything I wanna say to a woman but I couldn’t find the words to say
She got whatever it is
Don’t know what to do
Every time I try to tell her how it feels it comes out “I love you”
You’ve got whatever it is

You know I’ve never been the type that would ever wanna stay
Bring ‘em home and night and they’re gone the next day
But that all changed when she walked into my life
And people ask me why it is I tell ‘em I don’t know
There’s just something bout the woman makes me heart go-haywire
And she’s gonna be my wife

She got whatever it is
That blows me away
She’s everything I wanna say to a woman but I couldn’t find the words to say
She got whatever it is
I don’t know what to do
Every time I try to tell her how I feels it comes out “I love you”
You’ve got whatever it is

Now when you love me
Girl that’s how I feel
When you love me
I’m on top of the world
When you love me
I can live forever
When you love me
I am untouchable

You got whatever it is
That blows me away
You’re everything I wanna say to a woman but I couldn’t find the words to say
You’ve got whatever it is
Don’t know what to do
Every time I try to tell her how it feels it comes out “I love-I do”
You’ve got whatever it is
Yeah, you’ve got whatever it is

Charlie Robison stirs up Bandera Residents

BANDERA, Texas — Hill Country residents want local bar, who host a lot of big name live music acts to quiet down.

The 11th Street Cowboy Bar, located at 303 11th St., has neighbors who are complaining about the noise pollution. The problem is the city has an ordinance that restricts noise levels above 70 decibels (dbs). Clubs & bars like the 11th Street Cowboy Bar have to apply for special permits to allows for dbs to reach 100. Local area residents against the excessively loud music want the ordinance modified or worse yet, they want the special permits done away with.

The owners of the bar said if the music is stopped because of new ordinances, the city’s tourism money could take a hit. “You take this industry out, we don’t have industry here,” said James McGroarty.

“There have been so many complaints,” Bandera City Councilwoman Monica Halsey said.

“The Charlie Robison concert did not have 40 complaints, as others have claimed; on the Police Department list, there were 16 calls out of eight households, and anonymous calls don’t count,” McGroarty said. “We had a permit. [Mayor] Horst Pallaske signed it. Everything was in place to meet the guidelines. The decibels we measured were at 83 in the street. It’s a fact. Don’t believe the rumors…get your facts straight.”

Thursday evening’s City Council meeting was packed as the issue of special event permits was brought up, but the council decided not to take any action at this time.

“We’ve got to realize what makes this town click, and I’m very upset that one business in town is getting blamed for everything,” resident Rolla Stevens said.

Dan Wise, with the Historical Commission, Celebrate Bandera, and many other groups, said “The sound of that music, and the motorcycles, and the trucks…that’s the sound of money. If you stop it, we will start having to pay some real taxes [to support city infrastructure].”

Kelly Willis and Bruce Robison Holiday Show

Bruce and Kelly

The Kelly Willis and Bruce Robison Holiday Show

McGonigel’s Mucky Duck

December 6 & December 17

Two Shows Each Night…7pm and 10pm

Tickets $30.00

Beloved Texas couple Kelly Willis and Bruce Robison will be bringing their holiday show back for the 2008 season. Willis and Robision started the tradition in 2006 with the release of Happy Holidays, an 11-song collection of holiday standards and originals.

Standards include “Santa Baby,” “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas,” and “Baby, It’s Cold Outside.”  Other songs include the tender and emotionally affecting country/folk ballad “A Winter’s Tale,” written by the esteemed singer/poet R.B. Morris. Of course a true country holiday album wouldn’t be right without a touch of humor, as evident on “Santa Looked A Lot Like Daddy” and Bruce Robison’s own “Oklahoma Christmas,” about accidentally slipping out the occasional “Oh Lord,” and “Jesus Christ,” while gathered around the family Christmas dinner table.

The husband/wife team will be adding to their holiday repetoire during the show, as well as performing from their own acclaimed catalogues of material.

For artwork (like the photo included in this email) review copies, interviews or further info, please respond to th is email or call Kim Fowler 615.228.7177

Thank you and have a lovely day.

Lyrics: Robert Earl Keen – Amarillo Highway

I’m a high straight in Plainview
A side bet in Idalou
An’ a fresh deck in New Deal
Yeah, Some call me high hand
And some call me low hand
But I’m holdin’ what I am…The Wheel

(chorus)
I’m panhandlin’, man handlin’
Post holin’, high rollin’, dust bowlin’…daddy
An’ I ain’t got no blood in my veins
I just got them four lanes
Of hard…Amarillo Highway

I don’t wear no Stetson
But I’m willin’ to bet son
That I’m as big a Texan as you are

There’s a girl in her bare feet
Asleep on the back seat
And that trunk is full of Pearl beer and Lone Star

(chorus)
I’m panhandlin’, man handlin’
Post holin’, high rollin’, dust bowlin’…daddy
An’ I ain’t got no blood in my veins
I just got them four lanes
Of hard…Amarillo Highway

Gonna hop outta bed, Pop a pill in my head
Bust the Hub for the Golden Spread
Under blue skies, gonna stuff my hide
Behind some power glide
An get some southern fried…back in my eyes

(chorus)
I’m panhandlin’, man handlin’
Post holin’, high rollin’, dust bowlin’…daddy
An’ I ain’t got no blood in my veins
I just got them four lanes
Of hard…Amarillo Highway

An’ close I’ll ever get to heaven
Is makin’ speed up ol’ 87
Of that hard Amarillo Highway
